Simply put, website wireframes are simple line drawings that are used to indicate the placement of elements on a web page so that it becomes easier to edit the entire layout.
Website wireframe thus happens to be the first stage in web designing.
Website wireframes allow you to critically evaluate a design in the absence of distractions like colors, text, and other web design elements. With the help of website wireframes, you not only get an idea about what goes where on the web page but also tells you how much space each element would be occupying. Things that you should incorporate in the website wireframe would include navigation buttons, logo of the company, search boxes, login area, and content areas.
